We can control your treatment depth to address common concerns such as acne scarring, enlarged pores, and stretch marks. ResurFX stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin fibres in the deeper layers of your skin, which results in firmer, smoother, and tighter skin over time.
The fractional laser stimulates the production of new collagen and elastic fibres in the deeper layers of the skin. Stimulating new collagen production is the key to a more radiant, youthful-looking skin. With the ResurFX technology, we can achieve excellent clinical results over a sequence of treatments, while keeping your comfort maximal and downtime minimal.
Typically, one to three sessions are needed for significant improvement in the skin texture and fine lines. Optimal results are achieved after three to five sessions in four to five-week intervals. However, you will continue to see improvements for up to six months following the treatments.
A slight redness and swelling may be experienced after the treatment, however, this quickly subsides.
Most swelling will be noticeable the day of and on the first morning after treatment. You may also notice a “sandpaper” texture for a few days after treatment. This is a sign new collagen is being created in the treated tissue and your skin is regenerating. It is very important to avoid direct sun exposure and to apply sunscreen diligently throughout the treatment course. Most patients are able to resume their daily activities the same day.
The treatment can be performed almost anywhere on the body, including the face, neck, chest, arms, legs, hands, and even the abdomen.
